Camp One Clap 2, Episode 4: Izzy Garcia's Activist's Guide to the Clapocalypse, Part 1 - Platforms in Platform

We've arrived at day 4 of the Clapocalypse, and Izzy Garcia is here to inspire and help us on our journey! One Clap Podcast is excited to present: "Izzy's Activist's Guide to the Clapocalypse, Part 1 - Platforms in Platform."

Hi there, Campers! We're back with another great series from Cheyenne South Coach Izzy Garcia!

Today, Izzy shares his unique perspective on advocacy within the Speech and Debate community. He reflects on inspiring moments, such as a standout speech on drag at the NSDA National Tournament this year, and discusses the significant strides towards inclusion, diversity, and equity within the NSDA. The evolution of platform events like Informative Speaking and Original Oratory has expanded opportunities for activism, and Izzy provides invaluable insights on what it means to be a serious advocate within these platforms.

Thank you to Izzy for sharing his wisdom and insights about advocacy in Speech! Next week, he will share his second part of the series, "Performing Advocacy." You won't want to miss it!
