Camp One Clap 2, Episode 8: Facing Fears and Overcoming Anxiety with Ella and Addy Goodman

Camp One Clap is in full swing here on Day 8, and we are straight up thriving out here in the Clapocalypse. Here to join us today at Camp are two fabulous Speech and Debate stars - friend of the podcast Ella Goodman and new camp staffer, Addy Goodman!

Hi there, Campers! Ella and Addy Goodman have arrived at the Clapocalypse, and they are here to help!

Today, I interview the fabulously talented Cheyenne East Speech and Debate sisters, Ella and Addy Goodman. Ella and Addy share their personal experiences of overcoming fear and discovering a passion for public speaking, offering listeners a compelling blend of inspiration, practical advice, and even a touch of the supernatural.

A significant theme of the interview became the idea of transforming fear into passion. Ella and Addy reflect on their initial anxieties about public speaking and how they managed to overcome these fears. Their stories emphasize the importance of perseverance and the rewarding nature of facing one's fears. The Goodman sisters also discuss the unique camaraderie and traditions within their speech and debate team. From enduring late nights to the quirky tradition of wearing Crocs during bus rides to tournaments, these anecdotes highlight the strong sense of community and support that exists within their team.

One especially cool nugget of wisdom from the episode is the exploration of personal mantras and affirmations that have helped Ella and Addy stay grounded. The simple yet powerful phrase - "what if it all works out?" - serves as a reminder to maintain a hopeful mindset in the middle of challenges. The sisters share how these affirmations have helped them cope with anxiety and self-doubt, offering valuable insights for listeners who may be facing similar struggles.

Overall, Ella and Addy provide a treasure trove of inspiration and practical advice for anyone interested in speech and debate or looking to overcome personal fears. The Goodman sisters' journeys are a testament to the transformative power of stepping out of one’s comfort zone and embracing new challenges. Their stories remind us that facing our fears can lead to discovering our deepest passions and achieving personal growth.

It was so great to have Ella and Addy Goodman here at Camp One Clap! Thank you both for your insights and valuable advice!
