What if you could conquer your deepest fears in speech and debate and emerge victorious? One Clap Speech and Debate has this question in mind with a Season 6 launch into a clappifying, terrifying theme—Camp One Clap 2: The Clapocalypse. The aim of this season of One Clap is to help you amplify your voice and overcome your fears, and we are going to leap right into that at Camp! Today's episode is an orientation of sorts... perhaps a warning... of the terrors to come in the Clapocalypse.
First and foremost, the orientation episode kicks off by celebrating the achievements of the speech and debate community at the NSDA Nationals held in Des Moines. This culminating event saw participants from all over the country where competitors once again made their mark on the national stage. Whether you are a national champion, a dedicated coach, or a brave competitor, your contributions and unwavering dedication to the art of public speaking are appreciated and deserving of recognition. Congratulations to all participants - every voice in this activity matters and makes the world a better place.
After this celebration, we take a quick moment to access One Clap Speech and Debate up to this point. This little project that started in March of 2020 still has some legs, and hopefully remains a helpful and uplifting resource for competitors and coaches!

The core theme of this season is conquering fears and amplifying voices. Camp One Clap 2, also known as the Clapocalypse, is designed to be a spooky yet enlightening journey. With over 20 days of content planned, featuring more than 20 camp staff members, listeners are in for a treat. These staff members will share their stories, ideas, and expertise to help you overcome any fears that stand in your way this season. From forensic fears to public speaking anxieties, the episode promises to address them all, providing actionable advice and inspiration.
In addition to the podcast content, One Clap Speech & Debate is also launching social media challenges to engage the community. These challenges are designed to help participants connect, learn, and grow within the speech and debate community... plus, they are fun!
